I had a really good steak here but everything else was just kind of weird. We tried to go here a couple of years ago but there was a wedding going on. This time, very few people were there on a Saturday night. We didn't see a front door because it is on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot. Walked through the restaurant but just saw a few tables occupied but nobody that works there. We found the front desk by the front door but nobody was there. Peaked into a lounge and found our eventual waiter sitting on the couch having a drink. He seated us and was alternating very friendly or very invisible the rest of the night. My food was great but Meg didn't really like hers. I think next time we will eat in town at a more traditional restaurant. Although the patio looks like this could be a fun place in the summer for a big wedding dinner.

Not sure what happened, the location is great, the food has been much better, it's been a few years since we were here last. The food was mediocre. I'm hopeful they will have a better chef in the near future.

The perfect date night with my husband! Crab cakes melted in my mouth, lemon drop Martinis made with fresh lemons soaked in vodka, romantic garden settings... Couldn't ask for more! Service was beyond anything in this area. A first class experience. Innovative cuisine, well explained and impeccably delivered. Our highest rating! Highly recommend.

The drive up to the restaurant portends a promising experience. The outdoor patio reinforces expectations, and then you get to wait a long time for things to happen. There seemed to be a need for one more server (or one more cook) the night of our visit. Yes, the patio is beautiful and the frogs make lovely sounds, but the salads are quite unremarkable and our special of halibut cheeks, were not halibut cheeks, they were small halibut fillets, grossly overcooked and garnished in a most unremarkable fashion. This was a huge disappointment. The bread pudding that everyone raves about was nothing to rave about unless you just need a fix of a lot of sugar and bread. Added to this is a price that is about twice what I would expect to pay for a good meal for the same food. Will I go back? No. Not unless I have to be polite with someone and they are buying...

Came to Stonehedge for a special family dinner during Happy Hour and we were definitely satisfied. Our wonderfully personable server, Raquel, was on the ball with ordering time, accuracy, and even asking if the kids (9 & 11) were allowed to have a refill on their Shirley Temple & Roy Rogers. Their happy hour features some really tasty appetizer sized morsels. The Seared Ahi Tuna was succulent with a medium spicy wasabi sauce & ponzu slaw that complemented. The kids liked the Spicy Buffalo Sliders (partly because they were tasty, but not too spicy). The Crab Cake over Asian Slaw was very flavorful. Our Happy Hour pick of the night was the Shrimp Toast. The name doesn't do it justice. Garlic Scampi, Cream Sherry, and Toast Points. The sauce goes great with the complementary fresh baked bread. Topped off with a Red Blend from Pheasant Hill, the night was a success. Regular dinner prices are in the high side of our budget, but each time we've been here, we have had a great experience.

I reserved seating for my husband and I for his birthday. When we got there we were greeted warmly. It was very cozy and quiet, even with a large group in the next dinning room. Our waitress was on point and efficient. Friendly and informative of the area. I had special which was lamb and potatoes, medium-rare. It was good, but not great. My husband had the special which was a t-bone steak, also medium rare, he loved it and cleaned his plate. He had dessert and loved that and his gin and tonic. It was hard to see the grounds because it was dark and rainy. If it's raining when you go, wear good shoes, the ground is muddy and my feet got wet.

Had dinner on 3/11/15 at this charming place! It is an old house that has a romantic yet casual ambiance. Low lighting, yet not too low, tablecloths, and tasteful dinnerware. Had one of the evening specials (3 or 4 to choose from in addition to the menu), duck with a raspberry sauce. It was cooked perfectly to my liking (extremely rare), and it was a decent sized portion. Excellent place to impress guests and for special occasions. Outdoor seating for summer days/evenings and beautiful grounds for meandering - a lovely space for a party/wedding reception. Sheila, our server, was exceptional, to boot! Phenomenal service, food, ambiance, and it didn't break the pocketbook.

We went to their happy 1 hour with my family from 5 to 6. The prices on the drinks were excellent. Loved their margaritas for only $3. The happy food was really good and in the $4 to $5 range. The setting reminds of old Ireland or Britain. Lots stones, trees and old quaint country house. Off the beaten path. Great!

Mediocre at best. The decision to seat people outside should be thought through when there are cool temps and windy conditions. The so-so food was quickly cold. That's not the problem with this prime location. The issue was the service. The service was terrible from the initial order to check, which was requested twice. The order was wrong but we didn't have the time to deal with forgetful servers. There were two tables next to us that were experiencing the same issue. One couple got up and left. This place could be doomed if bad service is consistent, regardless of the nice garden.

Food was high quality and worth the price. Nice atmosphere and very friendly wait staff. I also love the property around it full of flowers. We had a big family dinner here celebrating my grandfather's 90th birthday and the servers made it that much better. Also great wine.

First, this lovely restaurant is open every day. The Yelp app says they're closed on Mondays, but not true. This is a wonderful restaurant! It is cozy, it has great character, and as my husband and I like to say: "it just feels good here." Mike, the owner, is a very pleasant and easy going guy. Spend 2 minutes with him in conversation, and you'll feel like you've been friends forever. The food is outstanding. I loved the Buffalo Prawns (think prawns with a spicy kick, slightly subdued by sprinkles of Gorgonzola. VERY good!!). The filet mignon is so tender you can practically cut it with your fork - no steak knife needed. It's so nice to enjoy good food in a pleasant ambience. The smooth jazz playing in the background just adds to the comfort of this restaurant. Don't miss the chance to dine here. This restaurant is precisely why we support the small business entrepreneur - because they are doing it right! All I can say is "keep supporting those little houses in the woods!"

There is a group of us from Portland and Vancouver who seek out a different venue for a yearly pre-Christmas dinner. We've been doing this for years. This year we chose Stonehedge Gardens based on word-of-mouth and booked our evening. It was remarkable! The tables were set up in a round-style so everyone could interact with everyone else. The menu selected for us consisted of a choice of halibut, steak and lobster' steak and peppercorns, and other selections. Everyone in our party was happy with their selection. The pre-dinner antipasti was excellent and the dessert ( a two-chocolate and raspberry dish) was superb. The owner, Michael, joined us briefly for a history of this amazing home turned restaurant that was once a getaway home for a family from Portland. He even encouraged us to play the baby grand piano in the dining room. When it began snowing hard outside, one of our troupe broke into White Christmas on that piano. The staff quickly opened the curtains so we could all watch the snowfall. It was magical! I know this sounds like I'm making it up but I assure you I'm not and this restaurant will always be a Christmas memory for us. I don't guarantee you the snow experience but I do believe you'll enjoy the experience there.

This is a special spot we reserve for holidays, cozy cottage in the woods, gorgeous grounds and amazing food. They have an amazing wine selection due to Michael's affection for great wine (the proprietor wrote a great book called "Varietal Tendencies" about the wine business.) The Caldwell's have transformed this spot over the years into a premier wedding and fine dining spot.

We happened upon this place for dinner while out looking at the waterfalls and doing a little wine tasting in the area. It was a special occasion, so we were okay spending more for dinner so I got the lobster tail and it was absolutely delicious. The whole place was extremely dark though. I'm alright with some ambience, but it would be nice to have just a little more light at the table. Our server was really nice. I am not big on dessert, but a few people at our table ordered some and we all left full and happy. I'm not sure when I will visit this restaurant again, if ever, but it was a fun little adventure.

Love it. Menu on point. Ambiance on point. Indoors or out its always super nice dinning here. It's fine dinning however the nothing on the menu is over expensive. Awesome happy hour as well.

Anniversary dinner WIN. Lovely wine list, classy drink options, daily specials (today rack of lamb and pork chop with shitake mushrooms are on the list) and unassuming pleasant professional staff. Sheila was pleasant welcoming and warm; Stacey was also available - we felt cared for! We enjoyed the roasted garlic & goat cheese served with crostini, buffalo prawns, mushroom ravioli with roasted pears, walnuts, with a side of squash. Our main course was halibut with crab topping served with savory spiced sweet yams and crab stuffed chicken breaststroke topped with tarragon sauces...fabulous! Enjoying a break before our dessert but we are seriously considering the flaming bread pudding with Russian coffee- will keep you posted. Ended up with flourless chocolate cake with raspberry purée- our apologizes I took the picture a bit too late

We had our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at Stonehedge Gardens and it was perfect and magical. Mike and Shawna were wonderful to deal with and calmed our anxieties before the wedding. The venue was perfect with beautiful trees, plants, waterfalls, and lights shinning in the tree-canopy. The food was yummy and the staff was terrific to deal with. I would highly recommend Stonehedge Gardens for a wedding or a lovely evening out. Well done and thanks again!!!

Opens daily at 5pm. I was recently in the beautiful town of Hood River, Oregon for my cousin's wedding and during that visit heard from various locals allll about Stonehedge Gardens. Yummy this, Bread Pudding Creme Brule w/ homemade Carmel sauce that...well, let me just tell you. We had 9 separate things happen in the 3 hours we were there. Some of the notable tidbits included the basket of moldy Foccasia bread, the container of ice that was spilled on some of our friends at the table, and, oh yes, the VERY SLOW service. While we watched another table get wined and dined like they were royalty, we waited forEVER for our salads, entrees, desserts, and the check. We were at the place for over 3 hours. While Stonehedge was horrified by the moldy bread and brought us some replacement french bread, they seemed as if they couldn't care less about us after that. Our waiter kept stopping by to say, "Your food will be out in a few minutes"...mmmm hmmmm...more like another 15 minutes. I will say that my entree was very good (the seafood alfredo) and that the wine/cocktail selection was delish...but I was totally disappointed with the whole experience. We were forced to pay a gratuity for slow service. We ordered the popular Creme Brulee covered Bread Pudding, which was also very good. However, it took forever for us to get it, even though we ordered it (per the menu's suggestion) when we initially ordered our meals. I would give this place a second chance, but I'd have to see improved service to go anymore beyond that.

this place has changed hands since the very first reviewer. This place is amazing, great food, great service and great ambiance. You absolutely have to try the Creme Brulee bread pudding. IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.... I don't have a single complaint!!!!

Wow, I haven't been to a place so overhyped since California. I could have made better food at home and the service was just mediocre. Even my chair was uncomfortable. The only winning attribute was the ambiance. Sitting on in the indoor porch was fun and the outdoor patio looked adorable. Get a new chef and a new wait staff and maybe I'll come back again.

This was our third trip and once again the food was fantastic. The halibut with crab included large moist pieces of crab, not just a few shredded pieces disguised in bread crumbs. I had one of the specials of the evening, lobster, and it was cooked perfectly, moist and buttery tender. We enjoyed the Thai crab cake appetizers, as well as the flaming bread pudding. All in all a truly wonderful dining experience.
